Keep resting and looking after yourself as long as possible Sarb. I know a few people who have been diagnosed with long COVID..all are very active folk and seemed to not give themselves sufficient time to really heal. All the best..drink lots (of water!)
Thank you, Juliet. Yes, I am mindful of my tendencies and thank you for the reminder. I’ll prioritize rest while I am in the thick of it, and ensure I take it easy for quite some time as I recover. Your reminder is most welcome though. And I am glugging water as I finish this sentence :)
Tēnā koe Sarb, rest up slowly and go easy on yourself. Wishing you all better sleep and resting heart rates. I hope your neighbours/whānau are dropping around nice kai. Mauri ora!
Thank you, Charmaine. One of our neighbours checked in on us this morning, which was lovely, and another offered to do a shop run yesterday. Off to get a little something to eat and a stretch of my aching body.
Update: Much better sleep and HR back down again over night. Deep sleep is back and not such weird dreams. But woke up shivering with headache and sneezes starting up again. Still very watery eyes with tears streaming down my face, and very snotty with wheezy cough developing.
Hi Sarb, if it's any consolation, I managed to get through until two weeks ago without Covid. I concluded that I was invincible. However, symptoms and positive RAT tests showed that maybe I'm not. Best wishes for a quick recovery, but don't go too hard once you get back to a single line on a RAT test.
Thanks Robert - yes, I’d manage to evade the virus until now - this is my first encounter. Feeling breathless this am - even speaking and getting out of bed, and I break into a sweat.
